Job Summary This Data Management Specialist is responsible for developing and automating analytical tools and data process workflows that support order management and bill of material. The role will execute product changes within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Configuration (MDP), and sales tools (TSA) and partner directly with design, engineering, manufacturing, and product support teams to translate engineering and customer needs into software tools and data products. Work schedule: Monday to Thursday onsite with colleagues; Fridays remote to match work requirements. Responsibilities Develop and automate analytical tools and data process workflows that support order management and bill of material. Execute product changes within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Configuration (MDP), and sales tools (TSA). Partner with design, engineering, manufacturing, and product support teams to translate engineering and customer needs into software tools and data products. Implement, maintain, and audit configuration management and bill of material aspects. Apply critical thinking to translate design, engineering, product support, and manufacturing requirements into supporting tools. Continuously improve engineering analytics capabilities through improved workflow efficiency, automation, documentation, and enhancements. Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues with data and applications. Maintain and improve documentation. Define feature categories, feature codes, validation, nameplate and part picking rules in Manufacturing Data Preparation Systems (MDP) for simple projects. Understand the change control processes within MDP, TSA, and PLM systems. Complete assignments, test, and verify own data with minimal coaching. Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures. Accept overnight travel (expected travel time ~5%). Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems (or related field). At least 2 years of work experience with Product Definition, Configuration concepts or HVAC. Works independently to analyze product documentation changes with coaching from senior staff. Develop and exercise good communication skills. Customer driven, innovative, and quality minded in performing all assigned duties. Knowledge of temporary variable categories (VCAT), validation rules, part picking rules, bills of material, and related logic. Understanding of MDP workflow and interface of field selection tools (TOPSS) and ability to load predefined data to support TOPSS changes. Preferred experience with PTC Windchill, Siemens Team Center or an equivalent PLM tool. Proven intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings, parts lists, bills of material, and rule based logic. Function in a technical engineering team environment. Compensation Annual Base Salary Range: $63,111.66 - $87,639.99. Benefits Benefits kick in on DAY ONE for you and your family, including health insurance and holistic wellness programs.
