Pharmacy Tech - Oakland, California

Pharmacy Technician opportunity available in a fast-paced hospital setting in Oakland, CA. This role offers a variety of shift start times, accommodating different scheduling needs while providing valuable experience in a clinical environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• 8.5-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break
• Available shift start times: 6:00 am, 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions
• Assist pharmacists in compounding and packaging medications
• Handle IV medication preparation; some prior exposure preferred
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
• Support pharmacy operations to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
• Previous pharmacy technician experience, especially with IV medications, is highly valued
• Willingness to learn and undergo additional training as needed
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a team environment
