What You'll Do As a Per Diem PET/CT Technologist, you'll play a vital role in delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring exceptional patient care. Advanced Imaging & Patient Care Perform PET/CT diagnostic and therapeutic procedures following KSC Nuclear Medicine and Radiology protocols Prepare and position patients for exams, ensuring comfort and clear communication Administer radiopharmaceuticals, contrast media, and IV injections with precision and care Conduct general nuclear medicine imaging when needed (e.g., Nuclear Cardiology, dynamic flow studies, SPECT) Technical Expertise & Quality Assurance Apply imaging principles to consistently produce optimal-quality studies Complete daily quality control for PET/CT and nuclear medicine equipment Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety guidelines and regulatory standards Clinical & Operational Excellence Utilize EMR, RIS, and PACS for accurate documentation and image archiving Support equipment upkeep, supply management, and overall clinic safety Participate in continuing education, team trainings, and quality improvement initiatives Serve as a resource for new staff during orientation You will be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that encourages development and provides clear direction on success. Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED from an accredited program Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine programli> Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Minimum PET/CT clinical rotation within an approved NM program NMTCB or ARRT(N) MRT-General Certificate BLS through American Heart Association Demonstrated ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition Venipuncture Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, radiologic science or related course of study ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) 3+ years in PET/CT Bi-lingual or multi-lingual Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. The hourly pay ranges from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour.
