Oracle EDQ Platform Engineer

**Key Responsibilities**

• Install, configure, and administer **Oracle EDQ** environments
• Manage EDQ components: EDQ Director,EDQ Server,Repository configuration
• Perform platform upgrades, patching, and environment optimization
• Lead migration of EDQ pipelines from **on-prem to Azure**
• Perform assessment of existing EDQ processes, jobs, and dependencies
• Migration planning and execution (lift-and-shift + refactoring)
• Re-platform EDQ workloads to Azure infrastructure: Azure Virtual Machines / Azure Kubernetes (if containerized)
• Build and maintain EDQ processes: Data profiling,Standardization and cleansing and Matching and deduplication
• Optimize pipelines for performance and scalability in Azure
• Develop reusable components and reference data frameworks
• Support on Azure Cloud Engineering
• Design and implement EDQ architecture on Azure:
  
  
  
  
  o Compute (VMs, containers)
  o Storage (Azure Blob / Data Lake)
  o Networking and security
  Configure secure connectivity:
  o Hybrid networking (VPN / ExpressRoute)
  Integrate EDQ with Azure services:
  o Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  o Azure Synapse Analytics
• Integrate EDQ with enterprise data platforms and tools
  
  
  
  
  1. Manage upstream/downstream integrations: Databases, APIs, file-based systems
  2. Support data ingestion and transformation pipelines
  3. Database & Data Skills Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL)
  
  
  
  
  - Experience with Data warehousing concepts
  - ETL tools (ODI optional, ADF preferred)
• Performance Tuning & Monitoring

  1. Monitor platform health using: Azure Monitor / Log Analytics
  2. Perform root cause analysis and issue resolution
  3. Security & Governance -Implement security best practices:
  1. Data encryption (at rest and in transit)
  2. Access control (RBAC in Azure)
  4. Manage secrets via:
  1. Azure Key Vault
  5. Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance standards
  6. DevOps & Automation
  
  
  
  
  o Build CI/CD pipelines for EDQ artifacts and deployments
  
  
  
  
  o Automate: Environment provisioning and Code migration and releases
  
  
  
  
  o Use: Git (version control),Azure DevOps / Jenkins
  
  
  
  
  o Develop automation scripts (Shell, Python)

• Successful EDQ migration from on-prem to Azure
• High-performance and scalable data quality pipelines
• Minimal downtime during migration
• Automation of deployment and operations
• Improved data quality metrics

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

• Strong hands-on experience with: **Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ)**
• Experience with: Data quality frameworks and Data profiling, cleansing, matching
  o Proven experience in migrating EDQ or similar data platforms from on-prem to cloud
  o Strong understanding of data pipeline refactoring for cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Machines, snowflake.
• Knowledge of Networking (VNETs, VPN, ExpressRoute)

**Nice-to-Have Skills**

• Experience with: Oracle ODI, GoldenGate
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to: Data governance tools and Multi-cloud environments.

**Soft Skills**

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work across data, cloud, and infrastructure teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder management

**Education & Experience**

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in:

• Azure certifications (preferred):
• Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect
