About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Credit Officer to lead and enhance the performance, quality, and profitability of its centralized lending operations and loan portfolio. The successful candidate will be a key executive leader, responsible for mentoring lending teams, establishing strategic policies, and collaborating with executive leadership to shape the institution's long-term growth. This role involves direct oversight of loan approval processes, pricing, and risk monitoring to maintain portfolio quality, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and audit guidelines. The Chief Credit Officer will also be tasked with managing and streamlining operations across various credit and lending functions, assessing loan loss reserves, and keeping the Board informed of portfolio trends. Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in management, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 15 years of management experience in bank credit administration. The role requires a proven track record in managing a high-quality credit portfolio, proficiency in MS Office, and experience with TRID and CECL is a plus. The ideal candidate will be adept at recruiting and developing top talent, setting performance goals, and leading cross-training for lending officers and branch managers. Additionally, the Chief Credit Officer will be expected to partner with Calling Officers on client interactions, serve as an active member of Senior Management and the Asset/Liability Committee, and regularly present updates to the Board of Directors.
