Information Technology Support Technician

This position supports the college's desktop computer hardware, operating systems, software, mobile and endpoint devices and peripherals and associated network connectivity. The following list is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position. Responsibilities Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and supports the college's desktop/computing hardware (Windows PC and Macs), printers, mobile devices, operating systems, software and associated peripherals Ensures existing hardware and software availability by coordinating repairs, performing preventive maintenance and fulfilling Level 1 work order requests Serves as the first point of contact for technology support by answering incoming calls to assess urgency and determine next steps, including resolving common requests such as account unlocks and password resets or routing or escalating tickets to the appropriate team to ensure timely resolution; accurately documents all interactions in the ticketing system Performs routine audio-visual support and maintenance to the college's instructional programs and organizations Assists employees in the use of desktop, mobile and network-attached hardware, software and peripherals Maintains inventory of all technology related equipment and software Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Associate degree in a relevant field (high school diploma and two years of specialized training may be substituted for the degree requirement) Two years of related work experience Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, human relations and highly technical computer application skills Valid driver's license Preference will be given to applicants with experience with the latest version of Windows desktop operating system, audio/visual equipment and basic knowledge of Mac OS and Windows Server operating system This is a full‑time position with excellent fringe benefits. The starting hourly rate for this position will likely range from $28.00 to $34.33 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
