Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The OR RN will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves supporting surgical teams, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to facility protocols throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care to surgical patients.
• Follow established protocols to maintain sterile environments and prevent infections.
• Monitor patient vital signs, anesthesia levels, and respond promptly to changes during procedures.
• Document patient status, procedures performed, and postoperative care in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure smooth surgical flow.
• Comply with all safety standards, including radiation badge management and facility-specific policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent OR nursing experience.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic electronic charting.
• Be able to provide radiation badge and related certifications.
• Willing to work 4x10-hour day shifts with on-call and weekend requirements.
