Job Summary:
The position of Registered Nurse (RN) in the Endoscopy and Gastrointestinal (GI) Laboratory is located in Los Angeles, California. The healthcare organization is seeking qualified candidates to perform specialized endoscopy procedures within an outpatient endoscopy center. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves pre- and post-procedure patient care, monitoring conscious sedation, and working with advanced endoscopic equipment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 07:30 AM - 06:00 PM; Days, 4x10-hour shifts on various days of the week, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BSN degree, California licensure (no temporary licenses accepted), BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, two years of experience in endoscopy procedures; prior GI/endoscopy experience required, with preference for inpatient or outpatient experience. Experience with Epic electronic medical records is necessary.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Must have prior endoscopy experience; pre- and post-procedure nurses also acceptable.
  • Skills include recovering conscious sedation, bronchoscopy, circulating, colonoscopy, EGD, administering conscious sedation, interpreting/managing dysrhythmias, monitoring conscious sedation, specimen handling/labeling, pre/post-procedure care, starting and maintaining IVs, recovering monitored anesthesia care sedation.
  • The role involves working in an outpatient endoscopy center with specialized equipment.
  • No call or weekend coverage required.
  • First-time travelers are eligible if experience requirements are met.
  • Candidates should hold a valid California license and relevant certifications.
