Job Title: Ecology Student Research Assistant - Federal Work Study Location: UNG - Gainesville Employment Type: Temporary Part‑Time | Job ID: 297734 Job Summary The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Biology department on the Gainesville campus. The student worker will assist with biology/ecology courses, ecology field‑based research projects, and the planning of the UNG Earth Day event. Responsibilities Learn ecological field techniques, conduct field research on campus, attend regular meetings to discuss research and scientific literature, and assist with planning and preparation for the UNG annual Signature Event, Earth Day. Assist with lab sections of biology courses and present research results at local and regional scientific conferences, outreach and educational events. Required Qualifications Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in at least six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker. Preferred Qualifications Completed BIOL 1108K or introductory GIS classes. Required Documents Resume Cover Letter Federal Work Study Award Other Information This is not a supervisory position.
