Position Summary

Heart 2 Soul Counseling is a small, growing group practice in York, PA, looking for a psychiatrist to join our clinical team with a central focus on medication management and treatment planning for our clients.

National Health Service Corps & Student Loan Repayment

Heart 2 Soul Counseling is an approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site, and this is one of the benefits we're most excited to offer a psychiatrist joining our team. Clinicians who join us may be eligible to apply for NHSC loan repayment or scholarship programs, subject to current federal program requirements and your own individual eligibility — this is an opportunity to apply, not a guarantee of an award.

One distinction worth being upfront about: while Heart 2 Soul offers real flexibility in scheduling and caseload, NHSC's program requirements are set by the federal government, not by us. Under current NHSC guidance, qualifying through a private-practice site like ours generally requires full-time clinical service, and half-time service options are typically not available at private-practice sites. In other words, the flexibility we offer as an employer doesn't change what NHSC itself requires if you want to pursue loan repayment through their program. We encourage anyone interested to review current requirements directly with HRSA/NHSC and confirm their own eligibility before applying.

• Provide medication management and psychiatric evaluations, in-person and/or via telehealth
• Develop and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their therapists
• Maintain active PA medical licensure, DEA registration, and required continuing education
• Collaborate with the clinical team on client care and referrals
• Complete timely clinical documentation
• Complete other clinically related duties as reasonably needed

Minimum Qualifications

A medical degree (MD or DO) with completed psychiatric residency, an active, independent license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania, and an active DEA registration. At this time, we're not able to consider provisional or supervision-track applicants.

We offer an extremely flexible schedule for this role: whether you're looking to see a handful of clients a week alongside other commitments, or build a larger caseload within our practice, we're glad to build a schedule around what works for you. We don't have a minimum caseload requirement for this position.

Remote, Hybrid, or In-Person

Medication management often lends itself well to telehealth, and we're glad to support a fully remote, fully in-person, or hybrid schedule depending on your preference. We don't have a preference for one over another, and your choice will never count against you.

Compensation

Compensation for this role is highly negotiable. We want to have an honest, straightforward conversation with you about a structure that reflects your experience, your specialty, and the real value psychiatric care brings to our clients — we're not looking to lowball anyone, and we'd rather talk openly about what's fair.
