Global Sourcing Manager - Business Application Software

Global Sourcing Manager Overview As a Global Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing technology purchases (Software, Software as a Service, Infrastructure) on a regional and global basis. You will develop, negotiate and implement sourcing strategies by working with key stakeholders on technology requirements, IT, security and legal, and prepare complete sourcing recommendations for management. What You'll Do Understand the IT industry and the strategic direction of GM/Software and Services. Work effectively cross‑functionally, building strong relationships. Partner with IT and business on supply base strategy, technology roadmap and viable suppliers. Collaborate with suppliers on governance and deliveries, managing lead times, contracts and application types. Participate with key stakeholders, including Software and Services IT, legal, security and privacy. Proactively manage annual renewal cadence and deadlines. Adhere to corporate purchasing and accounting policies. Negotiate competitive pricing, favorable terms, and complete full contract packages. Develop and maintain benchmark data to drive strategy. Use GPSC Sourcing Process to manage sourcing packages. Apply GPSC Sourcing Process (RFO, RQA, SS) to establish a capable supply base. Required Qualifications 2+ years of relevant purchasing experience (internship or co‑op not considered). Understanding of legal and commercial terms and the ability to negotiate and assess risk. Project management skills. Knowledge of basic software concepts. Ability to function independently navigating ambiguous situations. Proficient communication skills. High level knowledge (or ability to learn) about items being purchased. Analytical skills, including in‑depth benchmarking. Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize requests. Effective interpersonal styles to work with business partners. Knowledge of MS Office and internet research. Experience or ability to learn SAP purchasing systems. Willingness to travel 5% domestically plus internationally. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Experience with IT, technology or software procurement. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $95,200 - $126,500, based on responsibilities and qualifications. Bonus potential through incentive pay program based on company, level and individual performance.
