Program Manager

Summary of Position: The Client Services Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of program activities, procedures, and protocols. The manager will work to provide supervision and leadership to a team of support staff in addition to working directly with clients, guardians, and families to provide Community Based Day Habilitation related services. The manager will assist daily planned activities for clients and the development of tools to allow the client to progress toward independence. The manager may also provide support and training to other departments as it relates to approaches and techniques necessary for the success of KANDU clients. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work, Special Education or related field of study, OR 3-5 years’ experience working with disabled or disadvantaged population in a similar service environment. Relevant post-high school education and/or previous work experience and the ability to demonstrate functional knowledge of behavior principles and related program design may be substituted at the discretion of the Employer. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Excellent listening skills and ability to communicate well both orally and in writing. Possession of a vehicle with valid driver license and insurance. An ideal Client Services Manager will have the following Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Be adaptable and accepting of change. Be punctual, as the client depends on this. Possess superb interpersonal skills. Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities Knowledge of developmental disabilities, with the capability to relate to individuals. Awareness of community-based resources available for those with developmental and/or physical disabilities Have excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply independent judgment in critical situations.
