Outpatient Coder

Providing operational support and leadership for coding workflows, the full-time remote Senior Outpatient Coder will oversee coding quality, auditing, and staff education while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and organizational goals. Key responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations for assigned outpatient coding workflows and provide direct support to Coding Management Maintain coding accuracy and monitor coder productivity, offering feedback and coaching as needed Develop and implement coding policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Required qualifications CCS Credential, RHIT, or RHIA certification 5-10 years of progressive HIM coding management experience in an acute care hospital setting Extensive knowledge of OPPS, IPPS, UHDDS, and official coding guidelines Experience with Revenue Cycle Operations, including acute care coding Proficiency in 3M 360 software
