Identifies new business and market opportunities and creates appropriate business plans. Responsibilities may include determining the market for the product, determining the requirements of the marketplace for the product, and providing for the consistency of the new product with the organization's image and objectives. Functions as a central resource that interacts with systems, marketing, and sales in the product development stage. Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
