My Gym Childrens Fitness Center is a 700+ locations strong international corporation offering the BEST recreational fitness and gymnastics programs and blowout birthday parties for children ages 6 weeks to 13 years of age. We are looking for someone who is great with children and can be goofy, fun, loud, and outgoing. Its also important that you be a people person as interacting with parents and their children is a primary role of our team members. You will be leading classes, parties, camps, and events. Additional duties include light admin work, day-to-day cleaning of equipment, and general customer service. Position Requirements:
- Ability to work 25+ hours per week, including most but not all weekends
- Monday availability from 11:30 AM to 4 PM (our mandatory weekly meeting)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with children is a plus
- Health and fitness-focused
- Effective time management
- Commitment to training hard and taking direction well/easily
- Extroverted character personality our team leads, assists, demonstrates and performs various elements in classes with up to 20 children (most classes with their parents)
- Background in theatre, dance, sports, child development, recreation, kinesiology, or fitness
- Clean background check
- Our kids get attached, this is not a temporary/summer position
- Starts at $17.80 per hour or higher depending on qualified experience
- The average trained team member earns $19-$22 per hour
- Additional premiums for specialty and coordinator roles
- Additional premiums for trained party leads and assistants
- Tips - Our families are generous and take good care of our party hosts on weekends
