Job Details Location: Chattanooga, TN 37404 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Schedule: 12-hour day shifts Hours Per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 - $1,630 Unit Type: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Patient Ratio: 6:1 Shift Pattern: Equivalent of every other weekend Start Date: August 24, 2026 Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license At least 1 year of recent nursing experience in a PCU, telemetry, cardiac step-down, or similar acute care setting Active BLS and ACLS certification NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred or required based on unit needs Strong cardiac knowledge and comfort managing telemetry patients Experience with heparin, Cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, and amiodarone drips Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment Experience with Meditech charting is a plus Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care to progressive care patients with cardiac and medical-surgical needs Monitor telemetry rhythms and document strip interpretation accurately each shift Administer and titrate complex IV infusions per protocol and provider orders Perform bedside rounding, hourly rounding, and ongoing patient safety checks Manage chest tubes, wound vacs, and other unit-specific procedures as assigned Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, hospitalists, and the interdisciplinary care team Float to other medical-surgical or PCU areas when needed based on skill mix Maintain professional appearance and follow unit policies, including telemetry and alarm response standards Apply now for this Chattanooga PCU Registered Nurse travel assignment and join a supportive healthcare team delivering excellent cardiac-focused patient care.
