About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel with a focus on employment law and real estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of legal matters, including advising on workplace policies, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws. Experience in real estate, particularly in the areas of multi-family housing developments, acquisitions, financing, leasing, and regulatory compliance, is essential. The role also involves overseeing litigation, managing disputes, and providing strategic legal guidance to minimize risk. The ideal candidate will have a law degree, a minimum of 5 years' of relevant experience, and a strong background in federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Key responsibilities for the Associate General Counsel include reviewing and advising on employment policies, counseling on sensitive employment issues, and partnering with various stakeholders to ensure consistent employment practices. The role also encompasses general corporate matters, such as negotiating contracts, and real estate matters, including drafting and reviewing various real estate documents. The candidate should have in-house corporate legal experience, practical skills in contract drafting and negotiation, and a proactive approach to identifying and analyzing legal issues.
