Worth, TX 76104· Therapy departments – Physical, Occupational, & Speech Language Therapy – Inpatient Acute care, some OutpatientWork hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM, with occasional weekend coverage.Therapy department highlights:· Supporting the 815-bed, Magnet-designated, full-service hospital that has served the Ft. Worth and surrounding community since 1930· A rewarding career with family-friendly hours· Level I trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke centerAdvanced Total Hip ProgramAdvanced Total Knee ProgramBrian tumor program certified with gold seal of approvalSpine surgery certifiedPrimary heart attack centerGeriatric hip fracture programNeurotrauma program certifiedQualificationsHere’s What You Need· High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 Years Rehab Tech Required Orbachelor’s degree health related field Required.· 2 Years Rehab tech without health related bachelor’s degree Required orno experience with health related Bachelor's degree Required.· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.· Ability to communicate and respond verbally and in writing to or for patients, family members and staff members.What You Will Do· Manage patient scheduling and distribution of work flow and assist with supplies and equipment.· Main part of the job is direct patient care in conjunction with a Physical or Occupational therapist· Prepares patient for treatment using appropriate draping and positioningTransports patients to and from treatments using good body mechanics and stretcher/wheelchair safetyAssists with functional mobility training, gait training, exercise programs and ADL training as specified by therapistAssists therapist in set-up of all equipment necessary to perform assessments and treatmentsCommunicates changes in patient’s condition to therapist and nursing staffEffectively assists in multiple areas of the department;Identifies problems and proactively seeks solutions.· Reviews patient data and charts as requestedOrganizes and maintains patient chartsUtilizes computer for messaging and necessary patient informationAssists with scheduling and phone dutiesHelps with faxing and copy needs of the departmentAssists with data collection as requested.· Cleans and maintains equipmentDocuments the cleaning and maintenance of equipmentMaintains department stock itemsCompletes safety, stocking and inventory records.· Maintains, documents and communicates current CPR and education requirements and obtains all training and education required by the system, hospital and departmentUtilizes available resources to maximize efficiency and productivity and meet departmental needsParticipates in orientation and training of therapy technicians, students, volunteers and observersRepresents department in a positive manner in the hospital, system, and communityCompletes assigned work within scheduled hours and offers assistance to others to ensure departmental work is accomplishedSeeks assistance/supervision/consultation as needed and reports to supervisor any problems and/or solutions regarding delivery of patient careAdditional perks of being a Texas Health Senior Therapy Technician:· Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flexible spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan repayment program, as well as several other benefits.· Delivery of high quality of patient care through education, research and innovations in practice.· A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.· Explore our Texas Health careers site for info like Benefits, Job Listings by Category, recent Awards we’ve won and more.Do you still have questions or concerns?
