Job Description
This Buyer position is responsible for purchasing raw materials, components, tooling, and supplies essential for production and general business operations. As an individual contributor, the role involves daily interaction with vendors to ensure timely procurement and effective supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, qualify and meet with existing and new suppliers.
- Coordinate outside Services (paint, plate etc)
- Expedite material as necessary
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to optimize costs
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in procurement
- Strong Organizational skills
- Accurate and detail oriented
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Preferred year education, training or equivalent experience
