Fire & Security Alarm Technician

Fire Alarm | Security | Access Control | CCTV

Fastech Alarms & Telecommunication Services, LLC

Cincinnati, OH | Full-Time | $25–$35 per Hour

Are you an experienced low-voltage technician looking for a company where your skills are valued, your opinions matter, and you're trusted to do your job?

Fastech Alarms is growing, and we're looking for a skilled Commercial Low Voltage Service Technician to join our team.

We've been serving businesses throughout the Cincinnati Tri-State since 1992. As a family-owned company, we've built our reputation on quality workmanship, strong customer relationships, and taking care of our employees.

We're not a large corporation where you're just another employee number. We're a team that works together, supports one another, and takes pride in what we do.

If you're a technician who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems, and working with different technologies, we'd like to talk.

This isn't a position where you'll be doing the same thing every day.

You'll work on a variety of commercial life safety and security systems, diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and helping customers keep their facilities safe and operational.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing commercial fire alarm systems
• Diagnosing issues with access control systems, door hardware, and associated equipment
• Servicing IP cameras, NVRs, and video surveillance systems
• Troubleshooting commercial burglar alarm and intrusion detection systems
• Performing system inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance
• Working with customers to identify issues and explain recommended repairs
• Documenting service work and communicating with our service department
• Working independently while having the support of an experienced team

We focus on commercial systems. No residential service calls.

We're looking for someone who knows their way around low-voltage systems, takes pride in their work, and can think through problems rather than simply swapping parts.

Our ideal candidate has:

• Experience servicing commercial fire alarm, security, access control, or CCTV systems
• Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills
• The ability to read wiring diagrams and understand system operation
• Experience with addressable fire alarm systems
• Familiarity with NFPA 72 and applicable life safety requirements
• The ability to work independently and manage service calls
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude
• A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

NICET certification is a plus, but not required.

You don't need to know every manufacturer or every system we service. If you have a strong technical foundation, a willingness to learn, and the ability to troubleshoot, we're interested in talking with you.

We understand that experienced technicians have options. We want Fastech to be a company you can build a career with, not just another stop along the way.

Here's what you can expect:

• Family-Owned Since 1992: Work for a company where employees are known by name and their contributions matter.
• Independence in the Field: We trust experienced technicians to do their jobs without constant micromanagement.
• Variety of Work: Gain experience across fire alarm, access control, CCTV, security, and other low-voltage technologies.
• Local Commercial Projects: Work throughout the Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana Tri-State area.
• Training & Certifications: Opportunities for manufacturer training, professional development, and NICET certification assistance.
• Career Growth: As our company continues to grow, we want our technicians to grow with us.
• Support When You Need It: You'll have a dedicated service department and experienced coworkers to help when challenges arise.
• Quality Equipment: Company-provided vehicle, tools, phone, and tablet to help you get the job done.

$25–$35 per hour , depending on experience, qualifications, and certifications.

We offer:

• Competitive hourly compensation
• Overtime opportunities
• Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid holidays and vacation
• Company vehicle
• Company phone and tablet
• Company-provided uniforms
• Paid training and manufacturer certification opportunities
• NICET certification assistance
• Opportunities for professional advancement

Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift, with overtime opportunities and potential on-call rotation.

Maybe you're happy where you are but curious about what else is out there. Maybe you're tired of working for a company that doesn't appreciate your experience. Or maybe you're simply ready for the next step in your career.

Whatever your situation, we'd welcome the opportunity to have a conversation.

At Fastech, we're looking for good technicians who want to be part of a good team.

If that sounds like you, apply today. We'd like to hear from you.
