Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 4 x 10-hour rotating shifts | Start Time: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM | Projected Start: 06/22/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care.
• Reassess patients systematically to identify trends and intervene appropriately, modifying the plan of care based on patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning, communicating in a clear and developmentally appropriate manner.
• Implement and document timely nursing interventions and perform Point of Care testing procedures as required.
• Float within surgical services as needed and fulfill weekend call (2 weekends of 12-hour shifts per month) and on-call obligations (1 night call per week).

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• Current BLS Certification via American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Current ACLS Certification via AHA required.
• Current PALS Certification via AHA required.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, with relevant PACU or surgical services experience preferred.
• National professional nursing certification or additional nursing education (BSN or MSN) is a plus.
• Familiarity with age-specific and population-specific care standards in a PACU or perioperative setting.
