Radiology Scheduling Specialist - Full Time

Job Title Radiology Scheduling Specialist Employment Type Full time Schedule M-F Day Shift with start times dependent at time of interview based on department need. After training the position is fully remote for staff that live more than 50 miles from 41U. Candidates within 50 miles may need to work onsite as needed. Responsibilities Pre‑registration, scheduling, and electronically verifying insurance eligibility, while accurately identifying and collecting patient financial responsibility. Handle complex scheduled events, including high‑dollar testing, associated studies, and those with study‑specific instructions, and communicate effectively to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service. Initiate the billing process for any services provided by the hospital as part of the overall patient experience. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) to five (5) years of experience in scheduling, financial clearance, or patient access. National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire. Proficiency in using patient registration/patient accounting systems and related software. Additional Qualifications (Nice to Have) Associate’s Degree preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of scheduling with mastery in at least three (3) modalities and insurance verification processes, along with three (3) years of scheduling experience in an acute‑care setting. Experience with complex facility‑based ancillary testing across multiple facilities or states. Strong knowledge of third‑party and government payer billing and reimbursement guidelines, as well as department performance standards, policies, and procedures.
