Siouxland District Health Administrative Clerk I

Job Summary Responsible for serving as receptionist support for all divisions of Siouxland District Health Department – Ida County and providing general office support. This position is based in Ida Grove, Iowa. Responsibilities Staff the front public service counter and answer the department phone to assist visitors and callers. Work with multiple public health programs, collecting and entering client data in program databases. Enter employee information in databases; receive cash, prepare and balance receipts daily; receive and distribute mail and shipments. Perform general clerical work under limited supervision following well‑established procedures. Report to the Public Health Nurse Clinic Manager. Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Minimum one year of general office work experience in a health or human service setting preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English skills required. CPR certification required or willing to obtain. Computer skills required. Ability to communicate with diverse populations and work independently with minimal supervision. Physical ability to transport essential supplies and lift up to 50 pounds. Must successfully pass background checks, a physical exam, and a drug screening test prior to employment.
