A DAY IN THE LIFE As a Superintendent Intern/Co-op, every day brings a new lesson. You’ll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a project while working alongside experienced professionals who are invested in your growth. Here’s What You Can Expect Field Operations – Gain exposure to how ARCO manages daily job site activities from site mobilization through project completion. Safety Leadership – Participate in daily safety meetings, job site inspections, and learn how to promote and maintain a strong safety culture. Scheduling & Coordination – Assist with coordinating subcontractor activities and monitoring progress to help keep projects on schedule. Quality Control – Observe and support quality inspections to ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and ARCO standards. Site Logistics Trade Coordination – Work with Superintendents and subcontractors to understand sequencing, resolve field issues, and maintain productive workflows. Progress Documentation – Assist with documenting daily job site activities, taking progress photos, and preparing daily reports. Project Meetings – Attend subcontractor coordination meetings, owner walkthroughs, and project planning discussions to see how field teams communicate and solve challenges. Plan & Drawing Review – Become familiar with construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings while learning how they are applied in the field. Job Site Walks – Conduct site walks with experienced Superintendents to monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and verify work is performed safely and correctly. Training & Learning – Participate in offsite trainings and biweekly learning sessions provided by the Learning and Development team. Team Collaboration – Partner with Project Managers and field teams to understand how office and field operations work together to successfully deliver projects.
