IT System Administrator

The System Administrator ensures the Cooperative’s IT systems are maintained and well-functioning in alignment with current best business practices. Provides support in areas of computer troubleshooting; hardware and software maintenance, and training for the purpose of providing adequate computer services to all employees. Summary of Duties Supports the IT functions of the Cooperative, including managing the trouble ticket system. Monitor system health, including server, storage, and network performance to prevent issues. Assists with system updates, backups, installations, and implementations of software and hardware. Performs maintenance, enhancements, and technical support on existing hardware and software systems. Oversee regular data backups and ensure swift recovery in case of system failures. Implement security controls, manage user permissions, and ensure data integrity. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems or other related field. 3-5 years of experience preferred. Experience in engineering fields of electric distribution design and Short/Long Range Planning strongly preferred. A complete job description may be provided upon request.
