Description

Irrigation Tech - Garden Maintenance

Wage : $15-17/hour

Shift : Full time 30-39. Mon-Fri, some Saturdays. Hours: 6:00am -2:30pm, June through August, 7:00am - 3:30pm. September - May. Occasional weekend work required. Decreased hours during winter months.

Responsibilities :

• Assist the Irrigation Manager in maintaining the irrigation system throughout Thanksgiving Point's property
• Repair filters, valves, pipes, heads, nozzles when necessary
• Maintain proper coverage by adjusting heads, nozzles, and times.
• Make adjustments on irrigation clocks as required for new plantings, seasonal adjustments, and events.
• Help blow out system each fall
• Address irrigation emergencies which may fall outside regularly scheduled days and hours.
• Clean and maintain water features in the garden
• Wintertime work includes snow removal, gardening tasks, holiday light installation and clean up.
• Exemplify Thanksgiving Point's Mission, Values, and Policies.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

• Must be able to work in all kinds of weather conditions
• Previous irrigation experience desired
• Familiar with Rainbird's IQ4 system
• Able to follow instructions and work independently
• Pass an MVR and background check
• Be at least 18 years old
