Charge experience is required.
Patient ratio experience: 2 patients per nurse.
Charting system experience: Required experience with Epic.
Community hospital experience is required.
Travel experience is required.


Description:
The role requires a Charge Registered Nurse for a step down unit.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
The nurse will work night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Work every third weekend is required.
Candidates must hold current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
On-call hours are not required.
Floating within the facility as needed will occur.
Candidates may need to cover various departments as resource help.
The patient population includes adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Daily census averages around 2 patients per nurse.
Special procedures performed include central line insertion, cardioversion, and chest tube insertion.
Equipment used includes NICOM, Bipap (V60), and ventilators (PB980).
The charge nurse will manage patient care with potential for floating to other units as needed.
Skills such as arterial line management and care of ventilated patients are essential.
The nurse must have experience with cardiac telemetry and managing various intravenous protocols.
Isolation precautions and personal protective equipment knowledge is necessary.
Reference checks will be performed as part of the hiring process.
