Production Supervisor

Job Title: Production Supervisor (2nd OR 3rd SHIFT) Reports To: Production Manager Position Type/Expected Hours: This is a full-time, exempt position. Longer hours and/or weekend work may be necessary at times. Job purpose: This position is responsible for leading and coordinating daily manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This position provides leadership to production employees, drives operational performance, promotes a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and ensures production goals for quality, productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved. Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise production associates, including giving work direction, and reviewing reports and production documents and output reports. Communicate on a regular basis with other internal departments including Warehouse, Human Resources, Quality Assurance. Maintain the company’s high standards of food safety, sanitation and cleanliness in all manufacturing facility areas. Ensure associates are properly trained on all production/manufacturing responsibilities and safety requirements. Monitor production lines regularly to assure that GMP’s and Safety procedures are followed. Identify opportunities and help implement actions to achieve efficiencies. Perform other duties as directed. Qualifications/Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; 2- or 4-year degree in industrial supervision, engineering, business, or related field strongly preferred. 2+ years in a supervisory role in a manufacturing setting, preferably food manufacturing. Strong computer skills, specifically MS office. ERP/SAGE and Kronos experience a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, can-do mentality.
