VP Murex Application Development

Salary: $175,000 - 220,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field; a masters degree is preferred, and an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
• We require 5+ years of experience in information technology, application development, or capital markets technology.
• We require 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, developing, and supporting Murex MX.3.
• We need strong experience across Front Office, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Finance, Operations, Back Office, and/or Datamart modules.
• We need a solid understanding of OTC derivatives, FX, fixed income, equities, securities financing, and money markets.
• We require experience with MxML Exchange, market data, static data, workflows, pricing, simulation, and reporting.
• We need experience integrating Murex with enterprise platforms using APIs, messaging, and middleware technologies.
• We require experience with Agile delivery, SDLC, DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
• We need demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior business and technology stakeholders.
• We require strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
• We prefer experience leading platform modernization, cloud adoption initiatives, and strategic technology transformation.
• We strongly prefer bilingual Spanish skills.
• We prefer Murex certification or equivalent implementation experience.
• AWS, Azure, Oracle, Java, Scrum, or related certifications are a plus.
• We value experience supporting globally distributed delivery teams.
• We value exposure to regulatory initiatives such as FRTB, Basel, SA-CCR, or similar capital markets programs.
• We value knowledge of cloud-native architecture, observability, and platform automation.
• We value a proven history of driving engineering excellence and mentoring high-performing technology teams.

• We lead the architecture, design, development, implementation, and support of strategic Murex MX.3 initiatives for Santander CIB Global Markets.
• We own enhancements across Front Office, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Finance, Operations, and Back Office domains.
• We design and configure Murex capabilities such as workflows, pricing, simulation, trade lifecycle, market data, static data, datamarts, and reporting.
• We partner with Trading, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Architecture teams to convert business needs into scalable technology solutions.
• We lead platform upgrades, migrations, production releases, environment strategy, and vendor coordination with Murex Professional Services.
• We drive resiliency, performance tuning, production stability, operational excellence, and incident resolution.
• We establish engineering standards, perform design and code reviews, mentor developers, and promote continuous improvement.
• We support regulatory and strategic initiatives affecting Global Markets, including risk and finance transformation programs.
• We manage multiple concurrent initiatives while handling delivery risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
• We communicate effectively and support interactions with the trade floor.
