Psychologist Senior - Caswell Developmental Center

Psychologist Senior (NS) Division: Caswell Developmental Center, Department of Health and Human Services, North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Grade: MH20. Responsibilities Develop, implement, evaluate, and supervise behavior treatment and training programs for individuals with significant intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who may also have other physical and/or psychiatric conditions. Assist and supervise Staff Psychologists and Behavior Program Specialists (BPS). Conduct psychological evaluations and functional assessments, assign diagnoses, and prepare data analysis and monitoring for restrictive programs. Maintain knowledge of applicable policies and regulations, participate in interdisciplinary processes, engage in direct client contact and therapy, and conduct staff training. Qualifications Required: Eligibility for licensure in North Carolina under the provisions of the NC Psychology Practice Act (G.S. 90-270) and two years of professional psychological experience, one of which must be postdoctoral. Preferred: Maintain awareness of current psychological practice through literature review and attending workshops. Preferred: Thorough knowledge of the special needs of the emotionally and socially distressed, intellectually and developmentally disabled, and disadvantaged individuals. Preferred: Thorough knowledge of principles of therapeutic intervention, including behavior modification. Preferred: Knowledge of objective psychological, educational, and developmental tests. Preferred: Advanced skill in the proper application and interpretation of those tests and in preparing and presenting reports. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $79,770.00 – $131,620.00. Sign‑on bonus of $15,000 may be offered, contingent on 2025‑2026 budget approval.
