At the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor, we're committed to supporting you every step of the way, both professionally and personally.CompensationSalary Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 AnnuallyOverviewEnsure that the cleanliness standards of the guestrooms, meeting areas, public areas, and back-of-the-house are met through the optimal training, staffing, and supervision of labor, efficient management of operating supplies, and proactive monitoring of guest service scores and comments.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and monitor staff workload to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards, which requires continuous visual and written inspections of guestrooms and public space areas.Develop housekeeping and laundry budget.Develop and implement controls for expense management.Conduct periodic inventory of guest supplies, small equipment and linen as required.Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.Schedule labor to flex with forecasted hotel occupancy, F and B activity, and group events.Interview, hire, train, develop, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate of staff members.Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve problems to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.Evaluate condition of furniture, fixtures, décor, etc. Make recommendations and assist in the coordination of preventative maintenance program and rehab projects.Ensure compliance of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and policies.Operate department pursuant to OSHA requirements and guidelines.Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications and SkillsMinimum of five (5) years of management experience, including at least three (3) years in a housekeeping management role within a hotel or hospitality environment.Experience managing an in-house laundry operation.Thorough knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations, including departmental procedures, standards, and individual job responsibilities.Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce and guests.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with department leaders to achieve operational goals.Strong conflict resolution skills with the ability to professionally address and resolve guest, supervisor, and associate concerns.Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining exceptional organizational skills.Willingness to lead by example, assist team members as needed, and foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations, including budgeting, labor relations, quality assurance, preventive maintenance, safety and security programs, hospitality law, business planning, and long-range operational planning.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to effectively engage supervisors, associates, guests, and other stakeholders.BenefitsHEI Hotels and Resorts is committed to providing a comprehensive benefit program that offers you choices for your physical, mental and financial wellness, creating value in your most important investment - you!
