As a Rail Traffic Controller you will be at the heart of keeping our Cane trains running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Ensure continuous cane supply by managing train schedules and operations to maintain a steady and reliable flow of sugar cane to the mill. Coordinate train movements across the Wilmar railway networks, adjusting locomotive schedules as needed. Use real‑time GPS and advanced control systems to monitor and manage train movements, ensuring accurate scheduling and avoiding delays. Apply big‑data analytics to predict issues, optimize schedules, and adjust operations based on real‑time conditions, enhancing overall efficiency. Implement smart safety systems to monitor rail infrastructure and train conditions, providing immediate alerts for any abnormalities. Supervise staff, handle associated administration, and coordinate on‑the‑job training for locomotive crews, ensuring quality control standards and efficient record‑keeping. Utilize cloud‑based communication platforms and mobile applications for seamless communication with train drivers, production teams, and logistics managers. Employ digital twin technology and virtual simulation tools to model and predict operational scenarios, refining control strategies in a risk‑free environment. Qualifications Solid understanding of rail transport operations. Commitment to safety for yourself and your team. Strong communication skills to keep everyone in the loop.
