Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Department, ER Viroqua, Wisconsin, United States Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 12 weeks Weekly pay: $2,190.00–$2,316.00 per week Guaranteed Hours: 30.0 per week Shift: Night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am), 0.75 FTE with 60 hours per biweekly pay period; every 3rd weekend Setting: Rural environment in a Critical Access Hospital Emergency Department Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,190.00–$2,316.00 per week Guaranteed hours: 30 per week Contract duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night shift, 7:00 pm–7:00 am; every 3rd weekend; 0.75 FTE Start date: 09/07/2026 Setting: Rural Critical Access ED Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in the emergency department, including triage, rapid assessment, and ongoing monitoring of acuity levels Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, initiate intravenous access, and manage emergencies in a timely, evidence-based manner Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other ED staff to develop and implement patient care plans; adjust as needed based on patient response Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record; communicate clearly during handoffs and shift reports Monitor patient safety, infection prevention, and adherence to clinical protocols; provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities and contribute to a patient-centered, multidisciplinary ED team environment Requirements Active registered nurse license in Wisconsin ER nursing experience preferred Ability to work the night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am) and participate in a schedule that includes every 3rd weekend per biweekly period Capable of performing in a rural Critical Access Hospital emergency department setting and sustaining a 0.75 FTE (60 hours per biweekly pay period) Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer skills Willingness to meet the requirements of a travel assignment and comply with site-specific policies and procedures Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours and a clearly defined 12-week assignment Dedicated travel support and ongoing recruiter contact Credentialing and onboarding assistance to facilitate credential verification Professional collaboration with an experienced travel nursing team Assignment-specific support for scheduling, payroll, and compliance Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
