MachinistMust have strong manual machining, fabrication, and maintenance responsibilities.Key DutiesSet up and operate manual machine tools including:Machine new and used metal parts to precise dimensions and tolerances.Perform layout work from blueprints, sketches, and templates.Calculate dimensions, tapers, feeds, speeds, and machining requirements.Make and repair:Dismantle, assemble, align, and repair plant equipment.Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, levels, and protractors.Operate cranes and mobile equipment as required.Complete required reports and documentation.Required Experience/SkillsCandidates should have experience with:Manual machining and lathe operationBlueprint reading and interpretationPrecision measurement and inspectionMachine setup and troubleshootingPlant maintenance and equipment repairFabrication and fitting workMetalworking with steel, iron, brass, alloys, castings, forgings, and bar stockClose tolerance machiningSafe operation of cranes and shop equipmentYou should be proficient in:CNC ToolingTape Measure ReadingMachine Setups for Production RunsManual Machining Skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
