Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities:Serve as Senior Leaves & Accommodations Specialist for the Benefits Team with responsibilities to include, but not limited to:Serve as the primary liaison between Blue Origin, employees, managers, and HRBPs throughout the full leave lifecycle — from initiation through return to workManage complex leave and accommodation cases (FMLA, ADA, state/local) in partnership with our third-party administrator, Matrix/RelianceTrack leave dates, PTO usage, and pay accuracy in coordination with payrollConsult with legal and compliance partners on complex cases and policy developmentLead group and 1:1 consultations on leave, disability, and accommodation optionsIdentify process gaps and drive improvementsServe as escalation point for senior leadership on time-sensitive mattersMaintain strict confidentiality of employee medical documentationStay current on applicable federal and state leave/accommodation lawsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of benefits experience, with 3+ years in leave and disability administrationDemonstrated expertise in FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, STD/LTD, and state leave programsWorking knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, ACA, USERRA, Section 125, and related regulationsProficiency with Microsoft Office suite and HRIS/benefits platformsPreferred Qualifications:Strong case management judgment, especially with limited informationAbility to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously under deadline pressureEffective communicator across employee, manager, HR, and legal audiencesHigh discretion with confidential informationSelf-directed; proactive in building cross-functional partnershipsBase Pay Range for:CA applicants is $134,434.00 - $188,207.25WA applicants is $134,434.00 - $188,207.25Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
