Litigation Paralegal

The Direct Hire Division of Consilio LLC is partnering with a highly regarded law firm to identify a Litigation Paralegal for its Washington DC office. This firm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of litigation. This role will be responsible for case preparation, legal research, document management, discovery support, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

-Gather, organize, summarize, and index documents related to pending, upcoming, and potential litigation matters.

-Draft legal correspondence, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation-related documents.

-Prepare and maintain trial notebooks, exhibits, and supporting documents for hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.

-Manage and maintain case files, pleadings, briefs, correspondence, and legal records.

-Conduct legal research by identifying and analyzing applicable statutes, regulations, case law, and legal codes.

-Prepare summaries and abstracts of depositions, hearings, arbitrations, trials, and other legal proceedings.

-Assist attorneys with case strategy, document review, and litigation preparation.

-Maintain meeting minutes and case-related records as needed.

Qualifications

-Prior experience as a Litigation Paralegal , preferably supporting litigation matters.

-Strong understanding of litigation processes, court filings, and discovery procedures.

-Proficiency in legal research and document management.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

-Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.

-Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience with cite-checking and Bluebooking.

-Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain one.

-Experience supporting attorneys in complex litigation matters.

Salary: $75,000-$100,000 depending on years of experience.
