Interventional Vascular Unit (IVU) - Pre/Post RN | Local Contract Shift Details

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• No on-call or holiday requirements

Unit Overview

• The Interventional Vascular Unit (IVU) is a 16-bed pre/post area with 3 procedural rooms
• Serves both outpatient and inpatient populations
• Specializes in diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Collaborative team environment working closely with vascular surgeons, radiologists, cardiologists, anesthesia teams, and neuro radiologists
• EMR: Epic
• Scrubs are provided by the unit

Role Responsibilities

• Providing pre/post patient care
• Assessing patient health problems and needs
• Providing patient education
• Maintaining medical records
• Administering moderate sedation intra-procedure
• IV starts and general procedure preparation
• Management of emergency events
• Maintenance of a safe patient environment

Patient Ratio

• 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Same nurse, same patient - start to finish

Requirements

• BSN required
• 2+ years of experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experienced PACU or Endo RN would be considered
• Manager is open to first-time travelers
