Production Supervisor

As a Supervisor Production in Fabrication and Weld your goal is to coordinate the effective use of equipment, facilities, team members and skill sets in order to meet all safety, quality, delivery and cost requirements for a group of departments and/or multiple shifts.You will do this by:Developing, training and motivating team members to achieve desired safety, efficiency, proficiency, cooperation and morale; maintains awareness of plant and/or engineering policies and procedures and ensures employee adherence; may recommend and/or implement new plant policies and proceduresAnalyzing potential production problems (delays, material shortages, equipment repairs, etc.) and devises and implements procedures to minimize lost time due to these occurrencesReviewing operational schedules, coordinating production/testing activities, and managing team member assignments; may manage for multiple departments and/or shiftsAssisting with tasks such as monitoring and determining manufacturing costs and outlay, quality and quantity of goods produced, production methods, tooling applications and ensures the effective use of production hours, skills, machines, equipment and facilitiesInteracting with engineers to modify machines, equipment and/or processes to improve safety, production and overall quality; providing liaison support between plant and engineering to ensure efficient manufacturing processesUsing data to estimate work-hour requirements and departmental efficiencies for continuous improvement projects.
