Human Services Licensing Representative - Northeast Region

THE POSITION

Are you eager to help ensure that adults receive safe and supportive care in licensed homes? As a Human Services Licensing Representative for the Department of Human Services, you will play a key role in keeping communities strong. This position allows you to promote health, safety, and fairness in personal care homes.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role focuses on ensuring that personal care homes follow state laws that protect the health, safety, and rights of residents. It involves inspections, investigations, coordination with agencies, and clear documentation. As a Human Services Licensing Representative, you will perform the following duties: Inspection Activities: Conduct inspections to determine compliance with state laws and regulations Complaint Investigations: Investigate complaints and incidents to gather factual details Resident Relocation Support: Assist residents with moving from noncompliant homes to safer living arrangements Plan Monitoring: Monitor correction plans to decide appropriate timelines for administrative actions Agency Collaboration: Work with various agencies to collect information relevant to compliance Documentation Preparation: Prepare reports, licensing packets, and recommendations based on findings Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position requires frequent travel throughout the Northeast Region which includes Berks, Bradford, Cameron, Carbon, Clinton, Centre, Columbia, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Pike, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, and Wyoming counties. This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Northeast Region which includes Berks, Bradford, Cameron, Carbon, Clinton, Centre, Columbia, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Pike, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, or Wyoming counties.
