Inside Sales - CDL Driver (Open) Location: Demopolis, AL – Retail shop The Inside Sales position sells medical, industrial, and specialty gases, welding equipment and hard goods and tools to customers. In this role, you will support and guide both our walk‑in and phone‑in customers, ensuring their needs are met with excellent service. Based on order activity, you will also contribute to our delivery operations by operating a 20‑ton truck loaded with compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders, and goods for delivery to customers on our scheduled or unscheduled routes. Responsibilities Vehicle Operation: You will be entrusted with driving a CDL B truck to ensure our products reach our community safely. Customer Connection: You will assist customers by understanding their goals, helping them identify the right products, and locating merchandise to ensure their success. Transaction Stewardship: You will process payments for merchandise or services, accurately entering sales into our system. You will be entrusted with managing payments and contributing to our administrative and accounting processes. To provide a complete experience, you will wrap and bag purchases and assist customers with loading merchandise into their vehicles. Safety First: We prioritize your well‑being by following all safety procedures. You will use our established supportive safety guidelines for cylinder handling during exchanges and storage. Showroom Environment: You will help maintain a welcoming and professional showroom environment for our team and our guests. Delivery Excellence: You will safely load, deliver, and unload hard goods and cylinders, fostering strong relationships with our customers at their locations. Vehicle Care: You will perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections, documenting any needs to ensure our equipment remains in excellent working order for the whole team. Required Qualifications Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 60 days from hire date) & Airbrake endorsements. Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements. No more than two (2) traffic convictions, or no more than two (2) at‑fault accidents in the last 3 years, or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at‑fault accident in the last 3 years. No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years. Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment. Be able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment. Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months. Preferred Qualifications Forklift experience. Benefits Referral bonus: $500.
