About the Position

Job Title: NICU RRT Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RRT License Required Certifications: BLS Certification Required Must-Have: Candidates must have adult respiratory experience in an acute care setting. Description: This contract position is for a NICU RRT on night shifts. Candidates must be able to handle babies at 32-week gestation. No call requirements are necessary. The role includes performing standard respiratory therapy procedures such as nebulizers, CPT, arterial blood gases, and ventilator management. Experience with inhaled nitric oxide, bronchoscopy assistance, and intubation assistance is preferred. The ideal candidate is one who collaborates easily with team members in the respiratory therapy department. Successful candidates will rotate through four weekend shifts per month. Equipment utilized includes GE ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, and Airvo HFNC. Patient assignments are based on volume rather than the number of patients per shift. There are 7-9 staff members on each night shift, along with a supervisor. Candidates with adult critical care experience in ICU or emergency department settings will be prioritized. The dress code consists of olive green tops and black pants. This position offers an opportunity to work with new technology and a team of experienced staff.
