About the Position

Job Title: Technologist Profession: Technologist Specialty: Mammography Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in X-Ray, 2 years current experience in Mammography License: MA Radiology license or application of the same Certifications: ARRT (R), ARRT (M), Active American Heart Association BLS Must-Have: Must be proficient in both X-Ray and Mammography. Must not request scheduling accommodations. Must be willing to work weekends and evenings. Must have own vehicle. Permanent address must be included in profile. All requests for time off must be included in profile at submission. Description: Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Initiative is needed to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist or Operations Manager. Ensure proper care of clients in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. May supervise or instruct department personnel as determined by management. Practice infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with departmental policies and OSHA standards. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems. Demonstrate the ability to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, and PACS applications. Attend mandatory annual education including bloodborne pathogens and infection control. Maintain department competencies as required. Exhibit excellent patient care skills. Stay current with continuing education for both radiology and mammography. Requests for time off during the assignment must be noted at upload. Requests for time off after upload or during interviews will not be approved. Limit time off requests to five days or less. Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work specified holiday blocks.
