Position: Profit Center Manager – Builders Supply (Ann Arbor, MI) About the Role You will plan, direct, and lead all business operations at the Profit Center , ensuring consistent profitability. Key responsibilities include: Achieve sales, gross profit, market share, and profit sharing goals through recruitment, development, training, coaching, evaluation, and management of the team. Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide feedback. Determine targeted customer account potential, establish sales goals, and hold salespeople accountable. Achieve upper‑quartile performance in key indicators: Gross Profit %, Net Salaries Ratio, Occupancy Ratio, ROI, Gross Profit per Employee, Profit Sharing per Employee. Analyze financial reports, implement strategies to increase sales and margins, improve productivity, and manage expenses and assets. Maintain customer service excellence. Build community relationships to grow market share and identify new markets. Operate in accordance with Company policies, ensuring a safe working environment. Safeguard all assets—buildings, fleet, equipment, inventory, receivables. Complete required safety and compliance training programs. Perform other duties as assigned by management. About You • College degree or equivalent industry experience • 5+ years of sales and service experience • 1+ year of leadership experience • Product knowledge related to the specific Profit Center market preferred • Able to drive company business • Minimum 18 years old, valid driver’s license, and authorized driver profile • Strong work ethic and high integrity Ideal Candidate Attributes Excellent people skills, sound business judgment, and capacity for continued growth. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) for communication, scheduling, and analysis. Positive team environment builder who inspires high customer and employee satisfaction.
