This 13‑week contracted position requires 2+ years of medical‑surgical nursing experience and a Michigan nursing license that has been verified. BLS (AHA) certification is required. Trauma‑level experience is preferred. The medical‑surgical unit is fast‑paced and offers opportunities for learning and growth. A strict attendance policy applies; an RN who is absent or more than 20 minutes late for three scheduled shifts will be terminated immediately, except where supporting evidence is provided for communicable disease or hospitalization. Responsibilities Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized written plans of care based on assessments of physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Pursue lifelong learning through certification, advanced practice, higher education, and literature review. Demonstrate leadership by sharing knowledge and serving as a clinical resource and professional role model. Exhibit effective communication through collegial and interdisciplinary relationships.
