Senior Architect

Architect Location: Allentown, PA. Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week

Job Summary: Serve as a senior architect within a global organization designing and optimizing advanced distribution and outage management solutions using OMS ADMS DMS platforms including Client ADMS. Apply deep domain expertise and application engineering experience to define scalable hybrid model architectures that enhance grid reliability, operational safety, and service continuity while aligning with enterprise standards and regulatory expectations. Drive solution quality through rigorous design reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Design end to end OMS ADMS DMS architectures that align utility operational needs with enterprise technology strategy to improve grid reliability and resilience across complex distribution networks.
• Develop detailed application engineering specifications for Client ADMS and related platforms that translate business requirements into robust configurable solutions supporting outage management switching and network visualization.
• Review and optimize existing DMS and ADMS solution designs to enhance performance scalability cybersecurity posture and maintainability while minimizing operational disruption during enhancements.
• Collaborate with operations planners and control room stakeholders to map workflows into system capabilities ensuring accurate representation of network models switching procedures and outage restoration processes.
• Guide configuration of core ADMS modules including network model management fault location isolation and service restoration to support safe efficient real time decision making.
• Coordinate integration of OMS ADMS DMS applications with upstream and downstream systems such as asset management customer information and mobile workforce platforms to enable end to end digital workflows.
• Establish and maintain architectural standards patterns and reusable components for distribution management solutions that support consistent delivery across multiple projects and regions.
• Conduct impact assessments and risk evaluations for proposed changes to ADMS and DMS configurations ensuring system stability regulatory compliance and alignment with utility safety practices.
• Provide expert technical oversight during testing and validation activities including functional performance and user acceptance tests to ensure configured solutions meet operational expectations.
• Mentor engineering and configuration teams by sharing best practices in OMS ADMS DMS design data modeling and application tuning to build strong internal capability and reduce delivery risk.
• Engage with business and technology stakeholders in a hybrid work model to document requirements present solution options and secure alignment on architecture decisions that support long term roadmaps.
• Analyze operational metrics and user feedback from deployed ADMS and DMS solutions to recommend targeted improvements that increase situational awareness restoration speed and customer service outcomes.
• Support proposal and estimation activities by defining technical approaches scope assumptions and architectural risks for new OMS ADMS DMS initiatives helping the organization win and deliver strategic utility transformation programs.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate extensive experience of fourteen to eighteen years in utility focused application engineering and architecture with a strong track record in OMS ADMS and DMS implementations.
• Possess deep hands on expertise with Client ADMS configuration network model management and integration approaches tailored to complex distribution environments.
• Bring strong knowledge of power distribution operations outage management switching procedures and safety standards enabling practical and credible solution designs.
• Apply advanced skills in system integration data exchange and interface design between ADMS DMS and enterprise platforms using industry standard integration patterns.
• Show proficiency in performance analysis system tuning and troubleshooting for large scale ADMS and DMS deployments to maintain stable and responsive operations.
• Utilize clear analytical communication and documentation abilities to collaborate effectively within hybrid teams and articulate architectural decisions to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
