Associate General Counsel

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented legal team member to join our commercial real estate organization. This role supports a broad range of property transactions, financing matters, and development activities across a national portfolio while working closely with senior legal leadership and cross-functional business partners. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, strong transactional experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Responsibilities:• Direct and coordinate external legal counsel during property acquisitions to help ensure efficient execution from diligence through closing.• Drive transaction schedules by tracking milestones, resolving open items, and helping keep deals on pace for completion.• Contribute to the legal structuring of acquisitions and financing arrangements, offering guidance on risk, terms, and documentation.• Examine due diligence materials such as title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and environmental assessments to identify issues affecting transactions.• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and outside advisors to support negotiations and advance deal terms toward resolution.• Analyze and revise real estate agreements, including purchase and sale contracts, leases, and closing-related documents.• Work alongside transaction and deal teams to evaluate lease provisions and support effective structuring of complex real estate matters.• Review settlement and closing statements for accuracy and assist in refining legal and transactional workflows where improvements are needed.
