What You'll Do

• Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care in a busy surgical environment
• Maintain a sterile environment and assist with patient positioning and instrument handling
• Monitor patient vital signs and physical/emotional well-being before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate with surgical teams in vascular and orthopedic specialties
• Assist with patient education and post-op care planning
• Ensure compliance with all safety and sterile protocols during surgeries

What You Need

• NY State Temporary Healthcare Service Agency License/Registration (must be uploaded with application)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 1-year circulating RN experience in OR settings
• Strong skills in vascular and orthopedic surgery nursing
• Able to work in a fast-paced surgical environment

About the Assignment

This assignment at a leading facility in Glens Falls involves supporting a busy surgical unit with 14 operating rooms, including coverage for labor & delivery C-sections. The role primarily involves circulating duties in various surgical specialties excluding cardiac and ophthalmology, with an average of 50 procedures per day.
