Veterinarian - Mixed Animal Practice

South Plains Veterinary Clinic is seeking an energetic and progressive Veterinarian (DVM) to join our busy mixed-animal practice in Slaton, TX. We are a close-knit, family-oriented clinic with a loyal client base and an experienced, dedicated support team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys a diverse caseload and is interested in providing equine, food animal, and small animal medicine and surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive veterinary care across equine, food animal, and small animal patients.
• Perform medical evaluations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgeries.
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets/animals.
• Provide exceptional client service and patient care.
• Work collaboratively with the experienced veterinary support team.
• Participate in rotated on-call responsibilities among the veterinary team.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary program.
• Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in Texas.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with a diverse mixed-animal caseload.
• Commitment to quality medicine and excellent client service.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply - mentorship and guidance are available.
• Experienced veterinarians are also welcome.
