We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they expect by performing repairs, scheduling contractors, monitoring facility systems, and conducting routine maintenance . Our residents will depend on your skills, knowledge, and attention to detail to ensure their comfort and safety .

Maintenance Assistant Requirements:

• Experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general building maintenance
• Understanding of building and fire safety regulations
• Strong organizational skills , attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy exertion , including standing, reaching, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Ability to lift between 50 and 100 lbs. and be available for after-hours emergencies

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will:

• Complete work orders assigned by the Maintenance Director , including changing light bulbs, AC filters, painting, plumbing, light carpentry, fixing sheetrock, and other maintenance duties
• Assist with maintenance of facility areas , including grounds, fences, parking areas, furniture, appliances, and HVAC systems
• Maintain and repair service equipment, power tools, and kitchen equipment
• Keep preventative maintenance records and utilize a work order tracking system
• Conduct daily inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment
• Identify and resolve potential safety hazards to protect residents, visitors, and staff
