Intermodal Dispatcher

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Intermodal Dispatcher to join our growing operations team. This role is responsible for coordinating the daily movement of intermodal freight, managing driver communication, and ensuring on-time, efficient service for our customers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong problem-solving skills, and brings prior intermodal dispatch experience. Key Responsibilities Dispatch and manage a fleet of drivers for intermodal (rail) operations Coordinate container pickups and deliveries between rail yards, ports, and customer locations Monitor driver progress and ensure on-time performance Communicate proactively with drivers, customers, and terminals to resolve issues Track loads and update systems in real time Manage appointment scheduling and routing for maximum efficiency Ensure compliance with DOT, safety, and company policies Handle service exceptions, delays, and troubleshooting Maintain strong relationships with drivers to support retention and performance Qualifications & Experience Required: 2+ years of intermodal dispatch experience Strong understanding of rail operations, port/terminal processes, and drayage Experience working with dispatch/load boards and TMS systems (TMSEZ or similar preferred) Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and make quick decisions under pressure Proficient with computers and web-based systems Hybrid schedule (combination of in-office in Romeoville and remote work) Collaborative, team-oriented culture Fast-paced logistics environment with growth opportunities What We Offer Competitive salary (based on experience) Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding operation Supportive leadership and team environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
